Hub vs Voice

I have been in the process of developing a blog for a VERY long time. And I’ve realized that if I spent half as much time on posting, instead of just thinking about it, I would have had a ton of content out there. So as of now I am no longer obsessing on finding the right theme, the right domain, or how I am going to promote it. I’m just going to post. Post often and about several different subjects. 

I do have one question to ask of you, the readers. Should I split out focused and specific themed posts into a separate page / domain, or is mixing personal items with the focused posts ok for most of you? I just don’t want a random quote from my kid, or the occasional Instagram cross post, to distract from my article about tech integration with average users (a fairly extensive subject I’m working on). 

I guess the question is if you mind the central hub model or do you prefer a specific voice for your content?
